VIP Consulting Engineers has been appointed by POWERHOUSE CONSORTIUM as consulting civil engineers for the proposed township via their appointment from the Gauteng Department of Human Settlement as Lead Consultant for the implementation of the Essential Services Programme in the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality’s area of jurisdiction. VIP has been instructed to conduct Prelimanary Cost Estimates and capacity checks on the existing Water and Sewer systems in the area. Due to the time constraint VIP could not ask GLS for a capacity study (which would be necessary and done at a later stage), in turn VIP have communicated via phone with GLS to ensure that basic capasities are in place for the construction of water and sewer reticulation in Chief A Lethuli Extension 6 in the Benoni Service Delivery Center.
