VIP Consulting Engineers was the structural engineers for the new McCain Delmas Plan Raw Material Intake Upgrade. VIP Consulting Engineers was appointed by McCain Foods SA to do the detailed civil and structural design (concrete and steel) and construction administration for the proposed raw material intake upgrades at the McCain Delmas plant.
The scope of works comprised the following :
- Construction of new concrete parking area.
- Construction of new concrete entrance road.
- Construction of new concrete link road just south of off-loading area
- Construction of three new steel structure off-loading canopies at three separate locations.
- Upgrading and refurbishment of the Agric office and Lab building.
- Construction of a new 36 x 6m steel structure maintenance store east of potato stores.
- Construction of a new entrance including guardhouse, canopy and weighbridge.
- Rehabilitation of a portion of the existing road at the original off-loading area.
