DB Schenker – Warehouse Facility
The industrial park is situated approximately 15km from O.R. Tambo International Airport and DB Schenker, whose main business is stevedoring and warehousing for air freight identified one of the erven as an ideal footprint for their presence near the airport.
The development consists of a warehouse section, an administrative office section and parking and trafficable area.
This is accommodated on two platforms 350m x 200m and 180m x 100m respectively.
The site which has a fall of ± 3% was analysed and the cut and fill balanced where after the earthworks commenced.
The earthworks and all supporting civil works, paving, wet services and access roads were completed to specification and in time for hand over to the building contractor.
